Antiques Cheshire
Antique Shops in Cheshire.

Cheshire has a wide range of Antique shops spread throughout the
County, with small concentrations in Nantwich, Macclesfield
(including The Source and Limited Editions).

The city of Chester has the highest number of antique shops in the whole of Cheshire (see below).

Watergate Street
You will find several antiques shops in Chester in one of city's most historic streets - Watergate Street with 5 different and varied antique ahops with a wide range of stock from Fine Art, Clocks, Ceramics, Furniture, Antiquarian books - All within 100 yards from each other !

The Old Warehouse Antiques, Delamere Street, Chester.
There are one or two other excellent shops tucked away including The Old Warehouse Antiques located on Delamere street just beyond the North gate of the city walls, and KD Antiques which is located literally next to the Chester Clock (at Wall level).

Boughton - Christleton Road
The other important hotspot for antiques in Chester which you shouldn't miss is Boughton - around half a mile from the city centre to the East. There are about 10 different shops with a wide range of stock. Including lighting specialist O'Keefe Antiques & Interiors, Second Time Around for Georgian, Victorian and Edwardian furniture.


Antique Centres in Cheshire
There are several Antique Centres spread throughout Cheshire. Knutsford has one on King Street.
Other Antique centres that are worth a look include the Northwich Antiques Centre, the Saxon Cross Antiques Emporium and the Tarporley Antiques Centre. There is also Willowpool (see details below) and also 'Great Northern Architectural Antiques' which has wide and varied selection larger architectural items and fixtures and fittings.

Antique Fairs in Cheshire
There is a good number of well established and well attended antique fairs throughout Cheshire and Chester. Including fairs at Arley Hall, Nr Knutsord, Gawsorth Hall Macclesfield, The Hanover International Hotel Antiques Fair, Warrington, V & A Fairs, Tatton Park, Knutsford, Blakemere and the Wilmslow Leisure Centre.

There are also regular Antique fairs in Chester at the Chester Racecourse and Northgate Arena.

Antiquarian Bookshops in Cheshire
Most of the Antiquarian bookshops in Cheshire are located in the city of Chester.
These include The Northgate Antiquarian Bookshop, located just inside the North gate of the City Walls.
At the bottom end of Watergate Street you will also find antiquarian bookshop 'Stothert Old Books'. A little further up Watergate Street 'The Antiques Shop' also has various maps , prints and ephemera available.
 

Antique Clocks and Restorers in Cheshire
There are a number of Antique Clock specialists including Country Clocks located at Limited Editions in Mobberley, Knutsford.
Chester also has a number of clock specialists - including 'Second Time Around' in Boughton, who specialise in Longcase Clocks.

Auctioneers, Auctions and Valuers in Cheshire

Cheshire has several well known and well established Auction rooms, including Peter Wilson of Nantwich, Frank R Marshall of Knutsford, as well as Bonhams in Chester and Byrnes Auctioneers and Valuers in Saltney, South Chester.

Architectural Antiques and Architectural Reclamation in Cheshire & Garden Antiques
Cheshire has a wealth of places selling Architectual items, located to the East of Chester you will find Beeston Reclamation, Cheshire Brick and Slate and Great Northern Architectural Antiques - all worth a look. To the North of Cheshire you will find Willowpool Architectural Reclamation and Rarefinder who also do architectural antiques but also are a good place to source Garden Antiques Cheshire.
